LAKHIMPUR: Indo- Global Social Service Society (IGSSS), in collaboration with Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Sciences and Lakhimpur Block Veterinary Dispensary, with financial assistance from HDFC Bank under the flagship programme of HDFC Parivartan, organized a veterinary health camp on Wednesday at two flood-affected villages, namely Pub Sagolikata and Ghagar Kholakhowa under Lakhimpur Gaon Panchayat of Lakhimpur district.

In the veterinary health camp, altogether 556 cattle, pigs, goats, and buffaloes received free treatment and medicines reaching out to 100 families of the two villages.

The 4th year students from Lakhimpur College of Veterinary sciences actively participated in the veterinary health camp under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Sanjib Khargharia, Deputy Director Students' Welfare and his team. The IGSSS team under the leadership of Dharani Payeng, Project Manager, and field coordinators Mantu Saikia and Hari Boro mobilized the community and other logistics for the veterinary health camp. Dr Kabita Chabukdhara, the Block Veterinary Officer of Lakhimpur Block Dispensary extended free medicines and both technical and administrative support in organizing the health camp.
